The story

Taking care of cute pets sounds fun… until the pet is Gloomy Bear.
Wild creatures make terrible pets, and now you and your friends are stuck passing around the worst possible gift: a dangerous, unpredictable, slightly murderous bear. Try to get rid of the problem before it comes back to bite you. Literally.

In Gloomy Bear: Dead Giveaway, players keep passing an ever-growing “gift hand” around the table, hoping it stays safe… but one mistake, one bad guess, and the hand turns deadly.

Why you need this game

Dead Giveaway is fast, chaotic, and deliciously perfect when you want a game that is easy to learn but full of tension.
Every turn forces you to decide if you trust the player next to you, or if you want to call their bluff and risk everything. The more the hand grows, the worse it gets, and someone is always one card away from disaster.

It plays quickly, works with small groups, and fits perfectly between bigger games, or when you just want something mean, funny, and unpredictable.

How it plays

Players pass a growing hand of cards around the table, called the gift hand.
As long as there are no matching cards, the hand is safe.
If a pair appears, the hand becomes dead.

Each player must decide whether to accept the hand and make it bigger, or reject it and reveal the truth.
Call it wrong, and you take the penalty.
Call it right, and someone else does.

Rounds continue until someone collects too many bad cards, earns Death tokens, and eventually loses the game. The first player to collect three Deaths is out.

Simple rules, constant tension, and lots of bad decisions.
